A full remodel and addition, resolved as one.
This San Francisco project is a full-home remodel with a new addition - luxury architectural design and full interior design under one roof. From the reworked kitchen and dining room to the family room, master suite, home office, patio, and the new ADU living room and bath, every space was modeled, lit, and rendered inside a single photoreal digital twin before construction began.
The intent was a calm, layered modernism that earns its character through warm materials, generous daylight, and considered detailing. By keeping interior architecture, materials, lighting, and FF&E in one workflow we eliminated the seams - the original house and the addition read as one home, not a remodel grafted onto a building.
An addition that reads as part of the original house
Additions go wrong when they look added. We designed the new ADU living room and bath inside the same model as the rest of the home so the materials, ceiling lines, and proportions carry through. Walking from the existing family room into the new spaces, you feel one continuous house - not a seam between old and new.
A reconfigured layout, tuned to how the family actually lives
The kitchen, dining room, family room, and living room were re-planned together, not one at a time. Sightlines, daylight, and circulation were tested in the model before any wall moved on the drawings. The home office is built around quiet focus; the patio is a real outdoor room, not leftover space. Every decision was made for use first and beauty second.
Sign-off in 360° and VR, before demolition
The owners walked the entire remodel and the new addition in a 360° virtual walkthrough - every room, every angle - and signed off on materials, finishes, and lighting before construction began. That is the Vividly Built standard: the home you build is the home you already approved.

San Francisco Remodel · questions.
What was the design scope of the San Francisco home remodel project?
The San Francisco project is a full-home remodel and addition where Vividly Built handled luxury architectural design and full interior design end-to-end. Layout reconfiguration, the addition's architecture, material selection, custom lighting design and circuiting, photoreal 3D renderings of every key room, 360° virtual walkthrough, VR sign-off, and final FF&E specification - all resolved in a photoreal 3D digital twin before construction.
What does luxury architectural design and home remodeling include for a San Francisco home?
For this San Francisco remodel we delivered the new layout, the addition's architectural design, full interior design, material selection, custom millwork and ceilings, the lighting plan, finishes, fixtures, and full FF&E. Every room - kitchen, dining, family room, living room, master bedroom, office, patio, and the new ADU living room and bath - was modeled, rendered, and reviewed in a 360° virtual walkthrough before construction began.
Do you take on full home remodels and additions in San Francisco and the Bay Area?
Yes. Vividly Built designs full home remodels, additions, and ground-up new construction in San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the greater Bay Area, alongside our Southern California practice in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Pasadena, Westlake Village, and San Diego, and our Texas studios in Austin and Dallas.
What does Vividly Built mean by "resolved in 3D before the build"?
Every design decision - wall positions, ceiling heights, lighting circuits, stone slabs, fabric, fixtures, and furniture - was placed and reviewed inside a photoreal digital twin of the home. The owners walked the entire residence in a 360° virtual walkthrough and signed off on every angle before any trade arrived on site. That visualization-first workflow is why our remodels ship on time and under change-order pressure.
