Modern Brentwood ADU Extension
Selected views.
One continuous design, not a house with an ADU bolted on.
A Brentwood family wanted more space without losing the home they already loved - a modern ADU on the property, plus a full interior reset of the main residence. The brief was clear: do not let the addition feel like an addition.
We resolved both volumes inside one digital twin. Architectural design for the new ADU, full layout and space planning across the original house, interior design and FF&E for every room, all evaluated together at full scale before a single tool touched the site.
Two volumes, one language
The new ADU was sited and proportioned to read as a quiet companion to the main house - same material family, same window rhythm, same tone of light at golden hour. From the street, the property reads as one design. From inside, each volume holds its own privacy.
Layout and space planning, end-to-end
Full reconfiguration of the main residence around how the family actually moves through their day - cooking, working, hosting, decompressing. Storage, sightlines, and acoustics resolved alongside finishes, not after them.
Sign-off in VR before the build
Owners walked the entire property - main house and new ADU - in a full-scale 360° walkthrough. Every fixture, every switch, every sightline confirmed at the times of day they actually use the rooms. Construction started with a complete, signed-off design package.
Adding to a home you already love? Resolve it in 3D first.
We design ADU extensions and full home remodels every quarter - resolved together, in one digital twin, before construction begins. Scope, timeline, and an honest read on whether your project fits in 4–8 weeks of design.
Brentwood ADU · questions.
What was the design scope of the Brentwood ADU extension project?
Vividly Built designed a modern ADU extension paired with a full home remodel in Brentwood, California - end-to-end. Architectural design and structural concept for the new ADU volume, full interior design and FF&E for both the primary residence and the new ADU, layout and space planning, custom millwork and built-ins, lighting design, photoreal renderings, and a 360° VR walkthrough - all resolved inside a digital twin before construction.
How does Vividly Built handle ADU extensions on existing homes?
We treat the new ADU and the original residence as one continuous design problem. The ADU is sited, sized, and detailed so it reads as a quiet companion to the existing home - same material family, same proportions, same light. Layout and space planning are resolved together so the connection between old and new feels inevitable, not bolted on.
What is included in a 360° VR walkthrough?
Owners review every space in the home - including the new ADU - inside a photoreal digital twin, at full scale, at the times of day they will actually use the rooms. Materials, fixtures, sightlines, cabinet pulls, switch locations and lighting scenes are all evaluated before any trade arrives on site. Sign-off happens on the experience, not on a flat plan.
