An open-plan kitchen and living room, resolved in 3D.
This Newport Beach project is a luxury interior design for the heart of the home - a fully open-plan kitchen and living room designed as a single architectural moment. Cabinetry, stone, hood, hearth, lighting, and FF&E were modeled, lit, and rendered inside one photoreal digital twin before any cabinet was cut or any slab ordered.
The intent was a coastal Newport Beach modernism - warm oak, layered stone, and quiet detailing tuned to Pacific light - that earns its character through proportion and material rather than ornament. Because the kitchen and living room read as one room, every surface choice was made in concert: island geometry against lounge sightlines, range wall against hearth, ceiling line carrying through both zones.
One open plan, one design language
Open-plan kitchens and living rooms fail when each zone is solved on its own - the cabinetry reads one way, the lounge another, and the room never quite settles. We resolved both rooms in the same model so cabinet faces, stone tone, hearth detailing, and lighting temperature carry from the island to the sofa. Standing anywhere in the great room, the design reads as one continuous space.
The kitchen, designed for how the family actually cooks
Island length, prep zones, sink position, range wall, hood profile, and pantry circulation were all tested in 3D before millwork shop drawings began. Stone slabs were placed to match real veining; appliance fronts and integrated panels were modeled at full size; the hood was studied against ceiling height so the proportion is right at the camera angle people actually see when they walk into the room.
The living room, sized to the way they actually entertain
Lounge geometry, hearth scale, built-ins, and FF&E were laid out for real life - everyday with the family, dinner with friends, and the bigger gatherings the owners host. Sightlines from the kitchen island to the sofa were tuned so the cook is in the conversation, not behind it.
Sign-off in 360° and VR, before fabrication
The owners walked the great room in a 360° virtual walkthrough - every angle, every finish - and signed off on cabinetry, stone, hood, hearth, and FF&E before any millwork was cut. That is the Vividly Built standard: the room you build is the room you already approved.

What does a luxury kitchen and living room interior design include?
For this Newport Beach project we delivered the full interior architecture of the open-plan kitchen and living room - custom cabinetry, island geometry, stone slabs, backsplash, plumbing and appliance specification, hood detail, ceiling treatment, lighting plan, fireplace and hearth, built-ins, and the FF&E for the lounge. Every surface was placed and reviewed in a photoreal model before fabrication.

What does Vividly Built mean by "resolved in 3D before the build"?
Every design decision - cabinet faces, stone seams, hood profile, lighting circuits, hearth detail, fabric, and furniture - was placed and reviewed inside a photoreal digital twin of the home. The owners walked the kitchen and living room in a 360° virtual walkthrough and signed off on every angle before any trade arrived on site. That visualization-first workflow is why our remodels ship on time and under change-order pressure.
