Hollywood Hills Residence
Selected views.
A complete design language, resolved before the build.
When the architecture for a Hollywood Hills new construction reached us, the views were already extraordinary - what was missing was an interior language that knew how to use them. Our brief was to design a complete home where the canyon and city were the lead actors and every interior decision served that view.
We resolved the entire program inside a photoreal digital twin: floor plans, ceilings, lighting, millwork, stone, fabric, and furniture. The client walked the home in VR before the slab was poured and signed off on every finish, every fixture, every angle. The build proceeded with zero change orders.
Volume, framed by view
Every primary room is composed around a single sightline - the canyon at sunset, the city at hour 17:42, the threshold between interior and balcony. Furniture is arranged to surrender the wall to the glass, never compete with it. Ceilings are kept clean and recessed; nothing distracts from the horizon.
Material restraint, then specificity
A short, deliberate palette - book-matched stone, warm white oak, smoked bronze, hand-troweled plaster - used in long, calm runs. Where the eye lands, we layer in specificity: a stone vein, a custom cast-bronze pull, a single piece of art. The result reads luxurious without ever feeling decorated.
Light as architecture
A custom lighting plan with multiple scenes - Morning Volume, Evening Threshold, Late Cinema. Layered downlights, linear cove, decorative moments, and exterior wash all coordinated to hold the architecture together at every hour. Sign-off happened in a VR session at hour 17:42.

Hollywood Hills Residence · questions.
What was the design scope of the Hollywood Hills Residence project?
The Hollywood Hills Residence in Los Angeles, California was a new construction project where Vividly Built handled the complete design end-to-end. Whole-home interior design - every habitable space, Architectural interior detailing (millwork, ceilings, openings), Custom lighting design and circuiting, Photoreal 3D renderings - every room, every view, 360° walkthroughs and full-scale VR sign-off, and final FF&E specification - all resolved in a photoreal 3D digital twin before construction.
How long did it take to design the Hollywood Hills Residence?
The full design package - every room, every finish, every fixture - was resolved and signed off in 11 weeks. The owners reviewed the entire home in photoreal renderings and a full-scale VR walkthrough before construction began. Zero change orders during the build.
What does Vividly Built mean by "resolved in 3D before the build"?
Every design decision for the Hollywood Hills Residence - wall positions, ceiling heights, lighting circuits, stone slabs, fabric, fixtures, furniture - was placed and reviewed inside a photoreal digital twin of the home. The owners walked the entire residence in VR and signed off on every angle before any trade arrived on site. That visualization-first workflow is why our projects ship on time and under change-order pressure.
