A hillside home in Westlake Village had good bones and a tired interior. The owners wanted hospitality-grade comfort without losing what made the house theirs. We kept the bones and replaced the language.
Every space was redesigned in 3D - main living, hearth, primary suite, primary bath, kitchen connections, and FF&E throughout. Sign-off came in 9 weeks via VR walkthroughs scheduled at sunrise and sunset to confirm how the home would actually feel at the hours the owners use it most.
A hearth that anchors
The new main space orbits a generous, calm hearth - natural stone, warm metals, a long bench seat that reads like architecture, not furniture. The room can hold ten guests or one quiet evening. Designed to do both equally well.
Master suite as retreat
The primary suite was redrawn around a single goal - leave the rest of the house behind. A long ceremonial walk through stone-paved closets opens into a bath room with a soaking tub framed by hillside views, and a bedroom that gets pure morning light.
Layered, tactile, hospitality-grade
Materials chosen to age well - honed limestone, warm oak, hand-loomed wool, lightly burnished brass. Nothing precious; everything earned. The house feels like a small private hotel run by someone who pays attention.

Main living, dining, and hearth redesign, Master bedroom and master bath - full reconfiguration, Custom millwork and built-ins, Lighting plan with multiple scenes, FF&E specification and procurement, and final FF&E specification - all resolved in a photoreal 3D digital twin before construction.

The full design package - every room, every finish, every fixture - was resolved and signed off in 9 weeks. The owners reviewed the entire home in photoreal renderings and a full-scale VR walkthrough before construction began. Zero change orders during the build.
